July Newsletter

July 31, 2018

Hello residents of Long Lake and Watershed:

Attached is a July newsletter from your Long Lake Stewardship Committee.  Highlights include

  • Our annual plea for the $40 membership fee ☺︎.  Membership gives you voting rights at the Annual General Meeting.

  • An update on the LONG LAKE MILFOIL MAPPING 2018 project - Note change of dates.

CBC has shown interest in Long Lake's project.  You may have heard a radio interview on Morning North July 19th.  Here is a link to the write-up  http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/sudbury/eurasian-milfoil-long-lake-1.4753206

Remember to notify the Sudbury District Health Unit immediately of suspected blue-green algae blooms. Then, if confirmed, please notify us so that we can help to spread the word.

Lastly, a red Pelican kayak washed up at 2057 Sunnyside Road, between Norma Street/August Bay and Sandy Cove. Photo on our Facebook page.  Contact Natalie at 705 562-1619 to claim.
