Steve Reitzel, project manager for the Long Lake Gold Mine Remediation Project, has again widely shared the latest update. He explains there will be a delay on the project due to several issues and attaches the Q & A from the public meeting September 13th. Kudos to Steve and the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines for regularly keeping all interested parties well informed.

The last Long Lake Gold Remediation Update was August 25, 2017

****************************************************************************************

A public meeting was held on September 13, 2017 to update local residents on the remediation work schedule to start at Long Lake Gold in early 2018 (Questions and Answers from the Meeting are attached).

There was significant concern raised at the meeting in regard to increased truck traffic along Long Lake, Tilton Lake and Wavy Trail Roads due to the aggregate requirements of the remediation project. As a result of these concerns, as well as additional requirements to complete our Environmental Assessment process, the project has been delayed while these issues are being resolved.

Should you have any additional questions, or require additional information, please contact myself or Eric Cobb Ph: (705) 670-5624 Email: eric.cobb@ontario.ca.
